you can change money with no problems! In Osaka you can change currency at the
airport’s main transportation hubs, hotels, banks, and at private exchange
counters located in malls like Namba walk and underground mall tourist areas
like Dotonbori and even in discount ticket lottery stores. In Osaka we
especially noticed that currency exchange vending machines are everywhere
in and around tourist areas and transportation hubs. Let’s start off by
first discussing currency exchange vending machines. Currency exchange
machines will change 12 major world currencies into yen. The exchange rate at
currency exchange vending machines are okay unless you’re changing a large
amount of money. The difference between the best rate and the lowest rate is not
that much. We found currency exchange vending machines at major transportation
hubs and tourist areas. In shin-osaka station we found a currency exchange
vending machine on the second floor at the Kyoto Craft Mart store. In and around
Namba station you’ll find machines along the Namba City and Namba Walk. There is
one located inside Ainsley’s eskimo store at the station and another one
along along Namba Walk zone 1. If you go outside of Namba walk to the Dotobori area or shinsaibashi you’ll find many machines outside and
inside shops and restaurants. If you prefer currency exchange counters you
can also find them all around the city if you go into any big department store
like Osaka Takashimaya and Osaka Daimaru you’ll find currency exchange counters
where they do the tax refund. There are multiple money exchange counters at
Osaka station. The world currency shop is on the north side on basement level two. There’s also a Travelex located in the Nippon Travel agency. In Osaka station
there are also multiple banks in and around Osaka station which do money
exchange. In the Namba area we found a Travelex on the Namba Walk. nipponbashi exit 6 we found another currency exchange to the left of the
exit most private currency exchange counters
are generally open daily from 10am to 7 p.m.
except banks which closed at 4:00 p.m. on weekdays and closed on weekends. At
tourist areas like Namba Walk, Osaka station, Near Osaka Aquarium in Minato Ku Namba Walk, Osaka station, Near Osaka Aquarium in Minato Ku
and many other train stations in the Osaka area, we saw discount tickets
lottery stores which offered currency exchange which was new to us. They’re
easy to miss if you’re not looking for them. In Osaka with so many money
exchange machines you will definitely find a place to change currency any time
day or night Happy Travels. Go to hipfig.com for
